There were enough parallels that fans of both series wondered if the designers were taking notes of each other. It got weird later on as development for both series progressed. Metroid Prime 2 and 3 were released in the same years as Halo 2 and 3. Dueling Works: In its day, it had one with Halo (both were Sci-Fi First-Person Shooters that acted as flagship titles for their respective consoles). However, they actually made plans to ally with Dark Samus! The actual line comes from a Pirate Log in Corruption, in which the Space Pirates realize a violent Dark Samus has stowed away on one of their transports. Beam Me Up, Scotty!: The line "Surely, we are cursed" is frequently associated with a Pirate Log in Echoes in which the Space Pirates realize that there are two versions of Samus on Aether with them. For the Trivia pages of its individual games, see here: I think I would rather have a universe where Retro is allowed to develop their take own on the Metroid universe and it's characters without worrying about contradicting Super Metroid, Fusion and Other M.This is the Trivia page for the entire Metroid Prime Trilogy. Also the same for the Galactic Federation. The Space Pirates are already different in culture and portrayal. Other where the trilogy is canon, but Super Metroid and posterior games didn't happen yet or will never happen (Or will happen, but with different takes).Įven if we ignore Other M, there are still diferences in the way the Metroid universe is developed/portrayed on the Prime series, and the way is portrayed at supplement material. One universe for the 2D series, where Prime games are non canon. More or less how like Hasbro deals with the Transformers franchise. I'm more in favor of an alternate universe take on the series.
